Alghero has a railway station just outside the Old town center; the building is not very big but the connections to and from Sassari are very frequent with specific daily timetables and also for holidays. The fare has a duration of 40 minutes approx. Sassari is the point where they are sorted all destinations in Sardinia. Alghero’s railway station is easily connected with the city through a network of city buses.
